T-ara explains the significance behind their disco-themed comeback song, "Roly Poly"

Girl group T-ara's comeback with the song "Roly Poly" will be adopting a largely retro feel, taking much influence from the movie "Saturday Night Fever." The album title, fittingly chosen to be "John Travolta Wannabe", is another characteristic representative of the disco aura they are planning to emit.

Popular dances from the 70's and 80's will be incorporated into their comeback stage. The members are further prepping for their comeback by studying 80's fashion and listening to disco music, delving into the overall culture of the era.

The meaning of "Roly Poly" has been revealed in their recent interview with Focus Newspaper. The members note that when faced with times of trial, one must act the part of a "roly poly." A roly poly is a small insect (also referred to as a "pill bug") that rolls up into a protective ball when disturbed, much like an insect version of an armadillo. In essence, instead of caving under pressure, one should stay strong and persevere through whatever hardship is at hand.

Because T-ara's comeback title song will lean towards a disco pop sound, fans have been apt to compare "Roly Poly" to their hit single, "Bo Peep Bo Peep".

In related news, the structure of the girl group has undergone much change in the past year, with the latest leader role reversal being the most recent adjustment. T-ara will commence their Japanese promotions with company J-ROCK after unveiling the Japanese version of "Bo Peep Bo Peep" on August 3rd.

T-ara’s Hyomin is a hungry ghost?

T-ara’s new leader Hyomin recently uploaded a macabre picture on her Twitter, leaving viewers shocked and fascinated.

Her tweet included the caption, “Since I can’t see because of my makeup, I didn’t even realize my face was like this while eating”, shows Hyomin eating a donut with her eyes apparently sewed shut.

“People who saw you must’ve been frightened,” one viewer commented.

Even though it’s just makeup, I don’t think I’ll be getting any sleep tonight.

What about you?

Cho PD has been using the account somewhat actively so far, as he’s updated the page with a bunch of videos already.

I would expect more of the same going forward, since Brand New Stardom has been extremely forthright in their efforts to connect with fans, as evidenced already by their Tumblr account, Twitter account, and putting their e-mail, address, and phone information directly on their Twitter page.

All the fans should definitely check it out!
